We are helping refugees and immigrants learn the skills necessary to drive safely and obtain a driver license. Our program was designed with curriculum from the American Driver & Traffic Safety Education Association.

We are equipped with a driver’s ed vehicle and give students as many lessons as necessary to achieve competency. Our program includes a safety class that covers driving laws for seatbelt use, substance and technology use, citations, and accidents. We teach students how to maintain a vehicle and follow a GPS.

Since Owensboro does not have a driving school for the general public, refugees and immigrants have been dependent upon others for transportation and upon friends to teach driving skills. We are happy to meet this need!
